Climate Ambition Summit

The Climate Ambition Summit discussed three core acceleration tracks namely ambition, credibility, and implementation to expedite global measures in response to the continually escalating climate emergency. Held at the United Nation's Headquarters in New York, United States of America, the summit was a a testament to the unified global determination to expedite the transition to an equitable, renewable-energy-driven, and climate-resilient global economy. 

Attending the summit was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. In the opening remarks, His Excellency António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations urged world leaders, businesses, and financial institutions to commit to meaningful actions such as conforming to the proposed Climate Solidarity Pact. The pact called on major emitters to increase efforts to cut emissions and for developed countries to support emerging economies. Also present, Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad, Permanent Secretary for Wawasan, Prime Minister's Office.
